Now that your last minute party survival kit is assembled, you are ready to make some dishes like pear, honey and prosciutto crostinis or spicy garlic and lemon shrimp.

- 1 loaf Baguette or ciabatta bread, sliced
- 1 Ripe Anjou pear, sliced
- 2 Tbsps. Fresh ricotta
- 1 Tbsp. Honey, drizzled
- To taste Freshly ground pepper
- Spicy Garlic and Lemon Shrimp
- 1 lb Fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 cup Olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 12 tsp. Red pepper flakes
- 1 Lemon, for zest and juice
- 2 Tbsps. Chopped flat leaf parsley
- To taste Kosher salt
- 1 loaf Crusty bread, for serving
- Start by grilling the bread
- Layer the toppings, starting with ricotta, then small pieces of prosciutto and sliced pear.
- Finish with a drizzle of honey and freshly ground pepper
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until garlic is barely golden, about one minute.
- Add shrimp and cook for one minute.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and cook for one more minute
- Turn off heat and season with salt; toss in chopped fresh leaf parsley.
- Serve in decorative bowl with crusty bread.
